Payment of Violations
By using this website, you agree to pay the total amount due for each violation you select, including any applicable minimum fines, late fees, restitution, or other amounts authorized by the City of Champaign Municipal Code. The City of Champaign, Illinois, Ordinance Violation Online Payment Portal processes payments only for violations of the City of Champaign, Illinois Municipal Code (1985), as amended.

Deadlines and Posting of Payments
Use of this website to submit payment for an ordinance violation does not alter, suspend, or extend any statutory, administrative, or court-imposed deadline. Submission of payment does not immediately change the disposition or status of a violation. Payments submitted outside normal business hours will not be posted until the next business day after the transaction has been approved by the credit card payment vendor. Failure to make payment on time or to meet any applicable deadline will not be excused for any reason, including but not limited to City error, website malfunction, or failure of a financial institution to approve a transaction. Any penalties, fines, late fees, interest, or other consequences resulting from failure to timely pay or comply with deadlines shall apply.

The City of Champaign reserves the right to decline acceptance of any online payment for any reason. Users are encouraged to print their payment receipt and to verify that payment has posted by contacting the Legal Department by phone or email, particularly if payment is submitted outside normal business hours. Please allow up to forty-eight (48) hours after submission before confirming payment status.
